There are bills to pay, laundry to do, calls to make, a wonderful book to read (The Sacrifice of Tamar by Naomi Regan) AND am finally able to sit down and make a post.
My calender is so full - I work with a very large desk calender which has big squares but I find the squares are just not big enough so what I have to do is make an arrow and go into another square. I could try to write smaller but so far I have not been able to do that.
Some days I have to choose what activity or event I want to attend. For example I had an opportunity to see a show at my clubhouse by an entertainer that I was not familiar with or attend a free event held at the Spanish River library in Boca Raton.
THE LIBRARY
I heard that the library was "something to see" and the entertainer for the afternoon was Steve Leeds and Trio who were going to perform Sinatra numbers - well that made my mind up!
What a wonderful afternoon. Steve has a great voice, great personality and had the audience in the palm of his hands!!
Oh, and the library was really something special - looks more like a beautiful resort. Leave it to Boca to build something so special.
MOVIES
I'm pretty much up to date on the movies. Here are my thoughts on some of the recent movies I've seen, rated using the Florida Orange system.

In my opinion:
King's Speech 4 Florida Oranges
The Fighter 4 Florida Oranges
Mao's Last Dancer 3 1/2 Florida Oranges
Burlesque 2 Florida Oranges
The Tourist 2 Florida Oranges
COMMUNITY CENTER
The Center is new in the area and has a lot to offer (if you can get your foot in the door)
I was able to sign up for a few classes. This coming week I will be attending a "Yiddish Conversation Group" and a Movie Review and Discussion Group.
So you can see where I am coming from and why I am so happy to be home today - I need time to recharge my battery!
